Factual errors: Details of some historical characters and events have been changed to fit the dramatic narrative.
Factual errors: Although Mary is referred to in the film as the younger sister, most historians today are convinced that she was the eldest girl. Her date of birth is circa 1499, while Anne is believed to have been born in the early 1500s.
Factual errors: The scene of Mary Boleyn’s wedding depicts spring in full bloom, if not early summer. In reality, she married William Carey in early February of 1520, thus the accompyaning weather/seasonal status would have been substantially bleaker, if not snowy.
I saw the trailer and thought that it may be a good movie. When I was watching it, as the story goes along, I began to be more interested. I love the twist in the story. Good Movie
Movie Plot
Ben Campbell is a young, highly intelligent, student at M.I.T. in Boston who strives to succeed. Wanting a scholarship to transfer to Harvard School of Medicine with the desire to become a doctor, Ben learns that he cannot afford the $300,000 for the four to five years of school since he comes from a poor, working-class background. But one evening, Ben is introduced by his unorthodox math professor Micky Rosa into a small but secretive club of five students, Jill, Choi, Kianna, and Jimmy whom are being trained by Professor Rosa of the skill of card counting at blackjack. Intriged by the desire to make money, Ben joins his new friends on secret weekend trips to Las Vegas where, using their skills of code talk and hand signals, they have Ben make hundreds of thousands of dollars in winning blackjack at casino after casino. Ben only wants to make enough money for the tuition to Harvard and then back out. But as fellow card counter, Jill Taylor, predicts, Ben becomes corrupted by greed and his arrogance at winning which lets his feelings get in the way, and it also puts Professor Rosa, as well as the group, on the radar of a brutal casino security enforcer, named Cole Williams, who holds a personal grudge of some kind against Rosa which threatens to undo everything the students have learned and earned.

Trivia
Jeff Ma, the real life Ben Campbell, has a small role in the movie as a Planet Hollywood blackjack dealer.
MIT wouldn’t allow filming on its campus, so the movie was actually filmed at Boston University.
The movie was used as a luxury prize for the contestants on the Big Brother 9 in the US. They played a competition involving blackjack, and the winners got to see a special advance screening of the movie. One contestant won a trip to Las Vegas worth $21,000, which included a three night stay at the same hotel the actors from the movie stayed in.
Boston University students were used as extras in many of the classroom scenes.

Goofs
ontinuity: During the first meeting with Ben, the cards that Micky deals alternate from face up, face down, and missing altogether.
Continuity: When Ben’s mom is serving birthday cake to Ben and his friends, she serves Cam twice.
Errors in geography: There are multiple errors in Vegas hotel locations – seeming to be in one hotel when the shot from the window makes it clear they are elsewhere, particularly when visiting a suite said to be at the Hard Rock but clearly the view is from a tall Strip hotel. The Hard Rock Hotel is neither.
Errors in geography: In the montage scene showing the “extravagant” lifestyle of the group, the film cuts to scenes at the blackjack table, inside of clubs, etc. It’s supposed to happen in or around the Planet Hollywood Casino/Hotel, but many of the locations shown are from Red Rock Casino game room and the club “Cherry”. Red Rock is about 12.5 miles northwest of the Strip, surrounded by houses and deserts.
Continuity: When Ben is handed his earnings from the first night a five dollar bill is seen on the outside of the bundle. Moments later a $100 is on the outside.
Continuity: During the opening credits, while Ben is riding his bike on the road, you see the same orange PT cruiser go past twice and the same silver Chrysler 300C go past three times.
Continuity: During the opening scene montage, when Ben is riding his bike across the bridge, the position of his backpack changes several times.
Continuity: When Prof Rosa calls Cole, Terry answers the phone and places Rosa on hold. However, when Cole takes the phone from Terry, he does not take Rosa off of hold and proceeds to talk to him.
Continuity: When Mickey and Ben are walking through the park before the first trip, there is no one behind them. The camera changes and there is a woman walking her dog and another man.
Factual errors: At Ben’s birthday party, his friend waves some papers and says they are the “specs of the 209 competition” for which they are building a self-navigating wheel. The text on the paper are not specs, and are instead source-code of Skyplot (search for skyplot.cpp on-line) which is used to plot the positions of GPS satellites.
Continuity: When Ben is riding his bike on the bridge, a young guy with a lady are passing in the back stage. After this, when a yellow stripped bus passed behind Ben, that young guy and lady disappeared (it seems, they jumped into water) then another lady in white jacket appears who was absent before in the back stage.
